Dynamic seals are occurring at the interface between two machine parts, whereby these move relative to each other. Depending on the destination node sealing one (inner or outer) portion of the seal is moving relative to the machine parts to be sealed, the second portion of the seal remains permanently embedded in the second part of the machine.
Dynamic seals are commonly used in the automotive industry as a sealing of e.g. drive shaft or any kinds of arms and shock absorbers. Dynamic seals are also used in agricultural machinery for sealing hydraulic cylinders.
